Kpone-Katamanso Municipal District is a part of Ghana that is located in the Greater Accra Region. At one time, it was all part of the same district called Tema Municipal District. But then in 2012, a decision was made to separate it and make it its own district with its own rules - they called this new district Kpone-Katamanso. Later on, in 2018, Kpone-Katamanso became even more special as it was upgraded to its own municipality with its own capital city named Kpone.
